Mineralization is a vein within a fault zone that strikes N.20ºW. and dips 76ºNE. The fault zone separates gneissic granite on the NE from schist with diorite on the SW. Ore occurs mainly as narrow, vertical lenses, seams & bunches that trend northward. Massive grayish-white quartz with irregular masses, veinlets & disseminations of sulfides. The gold is mainly in the sulfides. Alteration includes minor to significant sericitization.
Workings include a 320 foot deep shaft, an adit and several 100 foot long drifts. Above the 220 level it is toped out 400 feet long by 3½ feet wide. The oro Grande shaft is on the NW side of the Creek. A 20-stamp mill was erected on the property.
