A former surface and underground Cu-Ag-Au-Pb-Mo mine located on 2 unpatented claims in the center EΒ½ sec. 7, T10N, R10E, 0.2 miles N of Orchard Tank, about 2ΒΌ miles SW of Payson and about 4.2 miles NNW of Oxbow Hill. Produced 1933-1934. Owned and operated by Mr. Henry Haught (circa 1960-1967). Other operators include G.N. Greer and W.L. Haught (1935).
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a lenticular ore body 91.44 meters long and 1.83 meters wide, striking N10E and dipping SE to vertical, hosted in diorite. See Conway, 1976, for regional grology.
Workings include two inclined shafts, one of which was originally 100 feet (30.48 meters) long, reaching a depth of 70 feet (21.34 meters); also several shallow workings on the adjacent claim.
