A former W-quartz occurrence/mine located in the SW¼SE¼ (estimated) sec. 9, T25S, R32E, MDM, 3.8 km (2.4 miles) N of Alta Sierra, along the W canyon wall of Cow Creek (2 miles NE of Greenhorn Summit), on National Forest land. Operated during 1954. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in limestone and quartz diorite. Deposit involves a tactite zone with fault gouge. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a timbered shaft of undetermined depth.

Production data are found in: Troxel, Bennie Wyatt & P.K. Morton (1962).
