A former Au-Ag-Pb-Cu-As-Sb-Bi occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 35, T12N, R7E, MDM, 1.4 km (0.9 mile) SE of Penryn, on private (patented) land. First operated in the 1850's. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a seam deposit hosted in granodiorite and gabbro. The ore body is irregular in form, strikes N and dips 90 at a thickness of 2.13 meters. Agouge zone 2 to 4 inches thick occurs along both walls of the vein. Local alteration includes oxidation of sulfides in irregular places to a depth of 1,045 feet. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 1,524 meters and an overall depth of 152.4 meters and comprised of 2 shafts, drifts, stopes and several levels.

Analytical data results: Assays averaged $9 (period values) Au/ton. Concentrates contained 9 ounces Au & 120 ounces Ag/ton.
Ag:Au was 3:1. 75% of the Au was from flotation cells; 25% Au & 100% Ag came from concentrates.
