The locality is in the Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park and Preserve.
Location: This occurrence is at an elevation of about 2,750 feet on the east fork of upper Strelna Creek. It is about 2,000 feet southeast of the center of section 21, T. 3 S., R. 8 E. of the Copper River Meridian. This is locality 144 of MacKevett (1976); the location is accurate to within about 1,000 feet.
Geology: This occurrence consists of a reticulated network of iron-stained veinlets in Pennsylvanian metavolcanic rocks (MacKevett, 1976). A sample of the mineralized rock contained 1 part per million (ppm) silver and 1,500 ppm copper.
Workings: Only limited surface sampling.
Age: Pennsylvanian or younger based on the age of the host rocks.
Alteration: Oxidation.
