Ancient lead-(silver)-zinc-copper mine, located near Trautenstein village both southwest and north of the B242 road leading from Trautenstein to Tanne. The mine was working the Schaftrift vein, which trends parallel to the Giepenbach vein at a distance of somewhat less then 1 km.

The mine was earlier included with the Gertrud Mine (Zeche Gertrud), but operated independently during its last period of working. The ores were transported by a ropeway into the Giepenbach valley where they were processed together with the ores from the Giepenbach Mine. Thus, the small dump down in the creek contains material from both veins, and only specimens collected from the various shafts and pits can be attributed unambiguously to the respective mines. The (primary) mineralization of the veins is almost the same, making a distinction of the specimens otherwise impossible.
