The Josephine Gold Mine is a small open pit near the northern shores of the Lake Cowan salt-pan. Several other small mines are nearby, the nearest being Atreides, 500 metres to the south. At the time of writing Metals X was actively developing the mines in the area. Ore was being carted to its Higginsville processing plant, 20 kilometres to the south-west. Highest drill results for the deposit is 1.7 g/t.
