An U occurrence located in the SE¼SE¼ sec. 33, T18N, R23E, G&SRM, about 16.6 km (10.3 miles) ESE of Sun Valley and 10.1 km (6.3 miles) SW of Adamana (Apache County). Geographic coordinates presented are for the SE corner of sec. 33. This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database.
Mineralization is an U deposit in a mineralized slump block of the Petrified Forest Member of the Chinle Formation.
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of 2,000 feet of rim stripping and a 15 foot shaft plus a small open cut at 25 X 15 x 10 feet. 6,000 feet of rotary drilling also conducted.
Production was 29 tons of ore @0.13% U3O8, some stockpiled on property.
