An U occurrence located in approximate common corner sec. 9 & 10, T28N, R9E, G&SRM, about 6.1 km (3.8 miles) SSW of Cameron. This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database. The geographic coordinates presented are approximate for the center of the boundary between secs. 9 & 10.
Mineralization is an apparent U deposit hosted in shale of the Chinle Formation on top of rocks of the Shinarump Member. Site contains radioactive black carboniferous material, with possible metatorbernite. Radiation is 40X background.
Analysis test results: 0.02-0.20 e U3O8; 0.02-0.19% U3O8.
