A former Pb-Ag mine located in sec. 20, T12S, R37E, MDM, 6.9 km (4.3 miles) NNW of Willow Creek Camp (site), on private land within a Bureau of Land Management administered wilderness area (Inyo Mountains Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
NOTE: The USGS MRDS database contains 2 files for a "Monster Mine (Blue Monster Mine)" and a "Blue Monster Mine (Monster Mine)." The coordinates, T&R values, and references are totally different between the files. The mine covered in this Mindat file is designated as the "Blue Monster Mine" on the topo map, and is reported as such here. The other mine, with a primary name of the "Monster Mine" is designated as such and covered in a separate Mindat file. The MRDS database possibly confused these two mines and cross-designated each with the same two names in reversed sequence.
Local rocks include Cambrian marine rocks.
Workings include unspecified underground openings.
