A Cu-Au occurrence located in the SW¼ sec. 11, T7N, R11E, SBM, (N of Amboy; near Orange Blossom), W of Orange Blossom Wash, along the eastern margin of the Bristol Mountains. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
NOTE: The coordinates provided in the USGS MRDS file places this locality N of its location on the topo map. The coordinates presented in this file are taken from the topo map at the mine location. The topo map reflects this mine as the "Lady Lu."
The ore body strikes NE and dips NW at a thickness of 1.22 meters. Deposit contains high-grade Cu-Au ore. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 8 (Northern Mojave Desert).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 65 foot adit with an 18 foot winze (1908). The latest development work was in 1946 (the topo map reflects 1 shaft symbol and 2 prospect pit symbols labeled "Lady Lu Mine" at this point).
