A former Au occurrence/mine located in the E½NW¼ sec. 18, T12N, R1E, SBM, about 6.8 km NNE of Lane Mountain (summit). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in quartzite. The ore body strikes N80-85E and dips 90. The deposit involves a vertical shear zone. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 100 foot adit.
