Other/historical names associated with this locality:
Riverside Quarry

A former stone (crushed/broken) deposit/quarry located in the SW¼NW¼ sec. 9, T2S, R5W, SBM, 2.0 km (1.3 miles) NNW of Rubidoux, just N of the Ormand neighbourhood. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 2 (Peninsular Ranges).

Workings include unspecified surface openings (the topo map reflects 1 open cast mine/quarry symbol at this point).

Edit 05/29/2022: Visited the locality yesterday. Definitely inactive. Signage names the locality as 'Riverside Quarry'. The locality is still accessible but (to me) mineralogically uninteresting, having nothing but granite. Popular with rock climbers. The locality may soon be inaccessible due to encroaching housing development.
