Comments: | The occurence of paradamite was questioned without any real evidence (see https://www.mindat.org/forum.php?read,105,184543,192510#msg-192510). The ID is now firmly established with Raman, SEM-WDS and SXRD. pale yellow masses that fill cavities in alveolar quartz. It can be confused with fluorite, which has a very similar luster and cleavage. With paradamite however the planes of cleavage never cross, which can be used to distinguish it from fluorite. | |
