al and metamorphic zircon crystals near to each other. The crystals sit in a matrix of polygonal quartz (Qtz), with muscovite (Mu) preferably along quartz grain boundaries, accompanied by hematite (Hem), rutile (Rut) and rare phosphate (berlinite Ber
black areas in (a) near berlinite and in (b) near muscovite are outbreaks in thin section). Notable is a high micro-porosity, especially well visible in (a). The zircon crystals also show the craters produced by laser ablation for age determination
