Fluorite was identified based on a cubic crystal structure and a rich purple color, Pyrite was identified based on a metallic luster, a black streak and a cubic crystal structure, Molybdenite was determined based on a lead blue color metallic luster and a platy habit. All were found in the Gardner Quarry, and all were in settings which are consistent with the identification, mineralization in granitic rocks.
