Fakes & FraudsFake Silver?

Hi

I bought this silver (20mm) from Mexico a few years back on a fair in Belgium, I had my doubts but the dealer had many af them that where 100% real (the typical feathers in calcite) and said he got them all from the same lot. My question is: does anyone know this to be fake or not?

Thanks a lot!

Louis

Looks much like the lab-produced silver crystals available from Switzerland a few years back.

I own a somewhat similar-looking piece which was sold to me as artificially grown. I bought it 30 or 35 years ago, so things like this have been around for quite a while. It also doesn't have the "feathery" arborescent habit of the other Batopilas silvers that I have seen over the years, nor does it look at all like the other Batopilas silvers pictured on Mindat.
