Hello all!

I filled in the application to submit photos about 2 weeks ago and then again about a week ago and have not heard back from anyone. I emailed the Hudson Institute and they told me my best bet was to post in here on the forums.

I recently discovered MineralDesk curator and the minID feature of MinDat and have been in the process of uploading my collection and assigning them each a minID. I would love to be able to include a picture with my descriptions, but without approval I cannot do that.

I work for the Sahara Sea Collection and deal primarily with their Moroccan minerals and occasionally Meteorites and Fossils, although other members of our team are more versed in the meteorites and fossils. I have a personal collection of several hundred items I would like to upload, along with items for sale which may eventually see upload.

I understand that locales need to be accurate, along with mineral species, and any that I am unsure of will either be uploaded with only a country for locale or uploaded under Other Pictures instead of Mineral Pictures if I don't know a species for sure.

Now when I go to the add photos page it just gives me an API code, but no link to upload photos, am I missing something?

James you need to click on the tab 'add photo'

If you wish to remove the api key from your homepage go to mindat homepage, click 'more' far right tab and then the last tab 'devices' and at the bottom of the list is the api key

James, I have no idea what the API key is. Others may tell us. However I went to your home page and uploaded a photo by clicking on the tab "add photo" this worked fine and the system realized that that photo was already in the system.

when I click "add photo" it just refreshes the page, I think there may be some kind of bug

solved it. appears to be a bug in Chrome. Internet Explorer works fine

I installed a php console in chrome to see if I can't debug it on my end. Will keep you updated.

You might also try going into your Chrome settings under More Tools... and clearing your browsing data. While I don't know whether it will have any effect here, I've had a few instances at work where I couldn't access updates until the Chrome browser data were flushed.

Do you have a script blocker running in chrome? That also might be impairing things.
