I've seen terms like skeletonized septarian, septum, septaria, and melikaria. The melikaria is giving me trouble- Journals list it as chemical deposits separate from septarian nodules from Quaternary formations in TX. But I've found a paleontology lesson that lists them as the internal structure of a septarian.
So is there a official name?

If I understand you correctly that you are talking about what is shown in the photo below, I believe the name that was given to these structures was "Melikaria" after the grandmother of the person who found these originally in Mexico. That's about as much as I know......
