(2007)Beaufort - Teekloof - Hoedemaker"[...] middle of the Tropidostoma AZ [...] middle of the locally named Hoedemaker Member of the Teekloof Formation (Smith and Keyser, 1995), which we estimate to be late Middle Permian in age" (Sidor & Smith, 2007)
In Botha et al. (2007) the Hoedemaker Member is said to be entirely Wuchiapingian in age. According to Catuneanu et al. (2005, J. Afr. Earth Sci., 43) the Hoedemaker is Late Capitanian to Early/Middle Wuchiapingian. Recent radioisotopic dates constrain the Tropidostoma AZ to Wuchi
