(2001) | Evaporite | Paleogene section is 100 ft (30 m) thick and similar and correlatable to the Eocene-Oligocene Qasr el Sagha and Gebel Qatrani Formations of Fayium, Egypt. These sediments (no formation name) are subdivided into three units from bottom to top: the Evaporite Unit, the Idam Unit, and the Sadr Unit.
