Mesenosaurus

Description

Mesenosaurus is an extinct genus of non-mammalian synapsids. It belongs to the family Varanopseidae (also known as Varanopidae). This peylcosaurian (paraphyletic group of non-therapsid synapsids) family has the longest fossil record and the widest geographical distribution.
