| Description | Coilopoceras is a compressed, involute, lenticular ammonitid from the Cretaceous (Albian to Turonian), with a narrow venter and raggedy ammonitic suture; type of the Coilopoceratidae, a family in the Acanthoceratoidea of the suborder Ammonitina.
