The light bluish green amazonite locality is in thin coarse veinlets (to several 10's of cm) in granite below the high tide line. Sections and crystals to 10 x 10 cm, but few excellent crystals. First mentioned in 1861 citing Charles T. Jackson in the Seventh Annual Report of the Maine Board of Agriculture, but certainly known much before.
