A number of shallow openings were found in limestone along the faulted contact with quartz monzonite. The occurrence lies along the Shamrock Fault Zone.
Some prospecting in 1883 revealed the presence of abundant apatite as crystals, up to l foot in length and 20 pounds in weight, in crystalline limestone. One crystal of orthoclase measured 12 by 8 inches. (ARV53)
