The pegmatite field is approximately 89 kilometres south-west of Halls Creek. See Mount Dockrell for more information.
Junda 3 is the northern most of the pegmatites noted by Jacobsen et.al.
The pegmatites along Columbium Creek were discovered in 1927. Across 1980-1982 the Australian Anglo American Prospecting Pty Ltd searched for niobium and tantalum in the Mount Dockrell area.
