Note: Celadonite has been reported from this locality (see references below). Several unusual green to greenish gray minerals with acicular habit have subsequently been found at the locality and have also been attributed to celadonite. The original references indicate that the so-called celadonite, had a "similar" infra-red spectrum without discussion of the implied problem. There was a comment that the chemical composition of the alleged celadonite differed from what would be expected for celadonite, as the species was defined at that time. Additional apparently unstudied materials are known from the locality. One interesting material occurs as gnarled acicular greenish gray clusters. Another form which may or may not be celadonite occurs as velvety green crystal coatings and spherical clusters lining cavities. New mineral studies of the locality are needed.

Formula: CaCO3
β“˜ Celadonite ?
Formula: K(MgFe3+◻)(Si4O10)(OH)2
Description: Occurs as vesicle fillings. The original references indicate that the so-called celadonite, had a "similar" x-ray pattern without discussion of the implied problem. There was a comment that the chemical composition of the alleged celadonite differed from what would be expected for celadonite, as the species was known at that time. Additional materials are known from the locality which occurs as gnarled acicular clusters. These may or may not be a member of the celadonite-mica group. Another form which may or may not be celadonite occurs as velvety crystal coatings and spherical clusters lining cavities. New mineral studies of the are needed.
