Developed in 1899. One of the original holders was William Kelly, who returned to the mine with James Tasker in September 1909. A new shaft was sunk to 160 feet on the lease by Priest, Geddes and Dinnie (surnames) in 1913. The reef was 3 feet thick, but only two feet of it was payable.

Until this time, the mine had produced 258 tonnes of ore for 1461 ounces of gold.

Harry Parker is noted at the mine in 1951, however the only reason he gets a mention is the fact he is forming a local Aussie Rules football team. Parker is said to have travelled widely working in the New Zealand timber industry, and Queensland cane fields. Jim Allsopp had been appointed referee for the new competition, despite having no knowledge of the game.

GML 190L. 6 acres. However, Gibb-Maitland in 1908 states it is Q.C. 215, formerly GML 103. He further states the mine is north-east of Castle Rock, some old workings on an east-west vertical dipping reef, with a shaft down to 130 feet, then stoped to the surface. The reef apart from quartz and gold, contained minor galena and pyrite.

The mine is about 15 kilometres east of Nullagine. Two kilometres past the Nullagine airstrip on the Skull Springs Road, a track heads south for one kilometre to the mine.

There are numerous workings in the area, using bulldozed looking for near surface nuggets.
