On old mine working predating the current operations (Dieter Mylius pers. comm.).

A former underground mine comprising open cuts, benches, adits, and underground workings.

The mine produced over 100,000 tons of secondary copper ore to 1917. The mine also produced a total of 1.5 million tones of iron ore for the war effort.
