Marble quarrying area along the west slope of Monte Crestola (542 m) to the south of Canale di Pescina. According to official documents of the Carrara municipal department for public works and production activities, Canale di Pescina separates the Pescina-Boccanaglia quarrying basin (to the north) from the Torano quarrying basin (to the south). The Ruggetta quarrying area consists of two quarries: Ruggetta B, located midslope, and Ruggetta A or Quarry No. 17 (see coordinates), located near the ridge top.
