Deposit: Nogal vein, northern vein, strikes N 60e, dips 70se, ranges from 4 inches to 2 feet thick and has a thin parting on the hanging-wall side but is frozen to the footwall. The ore in this vein is largely iron- and copper-stained quartz containing cerussite, galena, and tetrahedrite. The nogal vein is in granitic rock. The red vein, one-fourth mile south of the nogal vein, is an irregular replacement in crystalline limestone. The lenses of ore occur in a fracture zone and strikes n40w, dips 50sw. Ore is iron-stained quartz carrying $10 to $40/ton in Ag and au.
