Mina María Teresa

María Teresa mine benefited from a Hercynian-age intragranitic filonian deposit whose main mineralization is composed of quartz, coffinite (occasionally pitchblende), fluorite var. anthozonite, pyrite and minor Pb, Zn and Cu sulphides.
The main primary uranium mineral is coffinite, with fluorite var. anthozonite the main constituent of mineralization. Of all the intragranitic uranium deposits in the Salamanca sector, this is the one with the greatest scientific and economic interest (MTIblog.com).
