Structure: Faulting (Slickensided Veins)
Deposit: 4 strong parallel gold veins: orleans, western, connolly and welcome stranger veins 1931-ne W ore body at junction of orleans and connolly veins on 150-ft level, 15-ft wide with 20 in. Of high-grade carrying $20-$80/ton (one assay-3.37 oz/t au, 66 oz/t ag) western vein traceable for 4400 ft or more; up to 30 ft wide with 12-ft wide ore shoots 900-ft shaft on this vein (on the nettiel. No. 1 claim) with levels at 100, 200, 300, 400 ft. Strike N 80 W dip 70 NE connolly vein traceable for over 1200 ft, dips 70 ne, 10 ft wide, developed by inclined shaft to 60 ft. Strikes N 60 w, dip 70 NE welcome stranger vein does not outcrip at surface. Ore changes abruptly in it from lo W to very high grade and has higher average grade ore than other veins strike N 80 w, dip vertical to slightly s, 8 ft wide. Orleans vein has 2 shoots (1) the dunfee, worked from the dunfee shaft to a depth of 760 ft and (2) the west ore shoot, worked from the orleans shaft orleans vein strikes about N 40 w, dip 52 ne, and is over 30 ft wide. ; info.src : 2 unpub rept
