A former Mn mine located in the SΒ½ sec. 34, T20N, R7E, MDM, 2.4 km (7,900 feet) NW of Clipper Mills, along a tributary of Oroleve Creek. Owned and operated by George W. Wooley Clipper Mills, California. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (sic).

Mineralization is hosted in Late Permian rocks of the Calaveras Complex. The ore body is 1.22 meters wide and 10.67 meters long. The ore is hosted in the Calaveras series - L. The primary ore is rhodonite, with pyrite, chalcopyrite, calcite, malachite, and manganese oxides. The vein is 4 feet wide asnd can be traced for 35 feet. It pinches to 18 inches at one end and grades into quartz at the other end. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

An ore body of manganese oxide containing 40% ore produced 220 tons in 1916, averaging 4% Mn and 10% silica. Idle. Total production was 150 to 999 tons.

Analytical data results: Ore at 45% Mn.
