A former lode Au mine located in sec. 15, T33N, R7W, MDM (coordinates estimated; section projected), 1.8 km (6,000 feet) N of French Gulch, on the divide between Dutch Gulch and Clear Creek. Located in 1895. The property consists of 4 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a gold-bearing vein system in rocks of the Bragdon Formation (siltstone and shale). The ore body is lenses which strike N50E and dip 70NW at a thickness of 0.61 meters. Controls for ore emplacement included a 3 foot thick fault zone. 3 veins are present. Arsenopyrite is disseminated through quartz material. Quartz porphyry forms a wall next to slate at depth. Tension fractures indicate that the hanging wall block of the fault is downdropped. Local rocks include carboniferous marine rocks, unit 4 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).

workings include underground openings comprised of 1 adit 1,350 feet long, 800 feet of drifts, a 200 foot stope, and a 120 foot winze. The ore shoot is 200 feet x 18 inches.

Production data are found in: Albers, J.P. (1965).
