Largest Crystal Size: 1.2 cm

H:5.5cm x W:2.5cm x D:1cm; Largest Crystal: 1.2cm

Greenish-grey prismatic prismatine in a matrix of quartz with some biotite, garnet, sillimanite, and pyrite. Prismatine crystals measure up to 1.2 cm in length and up to 1.5 mm in diameter and constitute about 30% of the piece.

Hincks Bridge looking NW towards Lac-Sainte-Marie. The town boundary is just a few hundred metres on the other side of the bridge. The "kornerupine" outcrops are on both sides of the highway just before the bridge.

"Kornerupine" outcrop

The outcrop on the NE side of the highway immediately SW of Hincks Bridge. This occurrence is referred to the "Kazabazua Kornerupine Occurence"; however as a result of a reclassification of the kornerupine-prismatine series (Min.Mag.V60p483-491,1996,E.S.Grew et al.) most if not all the "kornerupine" is Prismatine.
