A coal mine, operated by Empresas Copec S.A. and Inversiones Ultraterra Ltd. (2020).
Name means Winter Mine.
The open pit mine covered an area of some 1509 acres and became operative in 2013, and ceased operations in 2019 with its last coal shipment in 2020, due to Government directives.
