Księża Góra is a hill 445m north of village Bystrzyca, with a small abandoned melaphyre quarry.
The perspective area of the melaphyres occurrence was determined between Bełczyna and Bystrzyca (Kozłowski, 1966). The melaphyres of this area are distinguished by exceptional physical properties compared to other rocks of this type in Lower Silesia. They are characterized by very high compressive strength (up to 251 MPa), low porosity and low water absorption. For qualitative tests, samples were taken in closed workings Księża Góra near Bystrzyca and Sołtysia Góra near Bełczyna.
