Uranium deposit, discoverd in 1961, located in the north-eastern outskirts of a peatland to the west of Shamardan village.

The deposit, consisting of three ore bodies, has a total length of 3.75 km and attains 0.4 to 2.3 km in width and 0.5 to 1.6 m thickness.
The ore consists of uranium (VI) (up to 0.125%), accompanied by V (up tp 0.5%) and As (0.03%), adsorbed by the organic matters. Traces of uraninite have been reported to be present in peat.
