A pumice occurrence/mine located in secs. 4 & 16, T21N, R2E, G&SRM, 2.9 km (1.8 miles) S of Williams, on South Fourth Street, on National Forest land (?). Owned & operated by Mountain View Mining Inc. (1994-). The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 5,000 meters. The USGS MRDS database file states that the geographic coordinates is for a gravel pit in the SE¼ sec. 4.
Mineralization is a pumice deposit. Local rocks include Holocene to middle Pliocene basaltic rocks.
