A stone deposit/quarry/pit located in the SW¼ sec. 14 & in sec. 23, T1N, R1W, MDM, 3.9 km (2.4 miles) WSW of Clayton, W of Mount Zion. Operated by G. Murchio. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Operations began in July, 1947, and have been continuous since that time. Total daily capacity of crushed rock was 1,000 tons. In 1958 Pacific Cement continued operations begun in 1954 with reported daily capacity of 2,400 tons.

Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 1 (Coast Ranges) and/or Eocene marine rocks.

Workings include surface openings comprised of quarry operations.
