A former placer Au occurrence/hydraulic mine located in secs. 20 & 29, T13N, R10E, MDM, about 6.65 km NW of Georgetown on the divide between the Middle Fork American River and Canyon Creek. The claims contain 120 acres. Operated circa 1892 and again in 1907. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface hydraulicking operations. A 200 foot bank was hydraulicked. Equipped with a 1,200 foot and a 1,440 foot flumes.
