A former stone (crushed/broken) pit operation located in the W½ SW¼ sec. 12, T28N, R16E, MDM, 5.9 km (3.6 miles) E of Amedee Hot Springs (coordinates of record), on military reservation land (U.S. Army Sierra Army Depot). MRDS database note: Probably gravel or rock.

Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Workings include surface openings comprised of a pit (the topo map reflects a pit symbol labeled "borrow pit" at this point).
