A former placer Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 22, T14N, R11E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.8 mile) ENE of Michigan Bluff, along and S of Poor Mans Canyon, on private land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

NOTE: The topo map reflects a large demarcated area just E of Michigan Bluff labeled as "Big Gun Diggings."

Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
