A former asbestos occurrence/mine located in T5S, R3E, SBM, about 3.9 km (2.4 miles) SSE of Idyllwild, along the S side of Coldwater Spring, apparently on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (sic).
NOTE: There is an unnamed open cast mine symbol in section 24 at 33.72188N, 116.72408W.
Local rocks include Plio-Pleistocene and Pliocene loosely consolidated deposits.
