A former Hg occurrence/mine located in sec. 31, T18S, R12E, MDM, 3.2 km (2.0 miles) SSW of Picacho Peak. Discovered in 1938. Owned by Joe Tirado. Produced during the period 1954 to 1962. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Franciscan Complex. The ore body is lenticular. Controls for ore emplacement included the local fault. Local alteration includes the induration of Panoche rocks. Local rocks include Upper Cretaceous marine rocks, unit 1 (Upper Great Valley Sequence).

Local geologic structures include a NW-trending, SW-dipping fault.

Data regarding workings are not presented (the topo map reflects 1 open cast mine symbol and possibly 1 additional symbol at the end of a dead end, unimproved road, labeled as this mine, at this point).

Production statistics: Year: 1960 (period = to 1960): Hg (estimate): ^10 pounds/ton (316 grams/metric ton).
