A crushed stone operation/pit located in the SW¼SW¼NW¼ sec. 9, T4N, R1E, MDM, 14.8 km (9.2 miles) ESE of Fairfield, just N of Rio Vista Junction along highway 12. Owned & operated by the Herman Supply Company, San Rafael, California (1981). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Local rocks include Plio-Pleistocene and Pliocene loosely consolidated deposits.

Workings include unspecified surface openings (the topo map reflects a large shaded area labeled "pits" at this point).
