The Lasbeck quarry is located in Iserlohn-Lasbeck, west of Nachrodt, in the valley of the Lasbecker Bach.

Greywacke from the Honsel layers of the Upper Middle Devonian (Givet stage) is mined in it.

Up to 900,000 tons are mined per year.

The operator is the French road construction company Eurovia.

This company acquired the quarry from Carl Risch GmbH in 2010.

In 2013 an extension of the quarry was requested.

Before the public hearing on November 19, 2013, in the council chamber in Iserlohn as part of the emission control approval process, the residents pointed out that around 70,000 truck trips are made through the residential area every year, assuming a load of 25 tons per vehicle.

Permission for expansion was granted in September 2014.

In 2015, a riding stable with half-timbered houses from the 19th century was demolished and reforested in 2015.

Findings worth mentioning of barite were recorded in the mineral-poor rock.
