Caryophyllales

Description

Caryophyllales (KARR-ee-oh-fil-AY-leez) is an order of flowering plants that includes the cacti, carnations, amaranths, ice plants, beets, and many carnivorous plants. Many members are succulent, having fleshy stems or leaves.
