Paranthropus ✝
| Description | Paranthropus is a contested genus of extinct hominins, sometimes referred to as the robust australopithecines, which lived between approximately 2.6 and 0.6 million years ago (mya) from the end of the Pliocene to the Middle Pleistocene. There are two widely accepted species: P. robustus and P. boisei; however, Paranthropus is sometimes considered to be invalid and synonymous with Australopithecus.
